Guest arrive at Johannesburg International Airport, where they will catch a short flight to Eastgate Airport, Hoesdspruit. Our staff will pick them up and transfer them by road to Kapama Southern Camp. The camp is made up of 10 villas, and each can accommodate two adults and two children under the age of 12. Depending on the time of arrival, lunch will be served at the camp. Check-in is at 14:00 p.m. Guests can choose to rest at the camp or go on an evening safari. The camp has all the amenities, like swimming pools, fitness centers, and spas.
Game drives at Kapama Southern Camp Guests will go on an early morning and late afternoon game drive led by experienced rangers and trackers. These guided excursions offer the opportunity to witness Africa’s magnificent wildlife up close, including the iconic Big Five. From majestic elephants and stealthy leopards to graceful giraffes and powerful lions, the reserve is teeming with diverse and awe-inspiring animal encounters. Back at the camp, guests can indulge in the serene surroundings and take advantage of the amenities available. The camp features a sparkling swimming pool where guests can cool off and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The traditional boma, a communal dining and gathering area, offers a unique setting for guests to enjoy delicious meals prepared by talented chefs while sharing stories and experiences with fellow travelers. Guests will visit Maholoholo Wildlife Centre to learn about the efforts the centre is doing t save wild animals. Situated on a sprawling property within close proximity to the iconic Kruger National Park, Maholoholo Wildlife Centre serves as a sanctuary for a wide variety of wildlife species. The center is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of animals back into their natural habitats whenever possible. The dedicated team of experienced wildlife rehabilitators and conservationists at Maholoholo work tirelessly to provide expert care, nurturing injured or orphaned animals until they are ready to return to the wild. In addition to game drives, guests can also participate in guided bush walks, allowing them to explore the finer details of the African bush with expert guides. These walks provide a deeper understanding of the ecosystem and offer an intimate connection with nature.
Guests will visit the famous Krudger National Park. Kruger National Park is celebrated for its unrivaled biodiversity, boasting an impressive array of plant and animal species. It is home to the famous Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros, and buffalo), along with an abundant population of other mammals, including cheetahs, wild dogs, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and various antelope species. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 500 bird species recorded. Gusts will spend the whole day in the kruger.
Guests will visit the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Center, where they will see firsthand the efforts the center is making to protect endangered wild animals. After the half-day tour, guests will have lunch and then rest at the camp after fun-filled days of game drives.
Guests will go for an early morning game drive and then eat some breakfast afterward. Check-out is at 11:00 p.m. They will be taken by transfer to Eastgate Airport, where they will catch a flight to Johannesburg International Airport.

Frequent Questions

Travelling to South Africa with children can be confusing. Some few years ago, the South African government required a couple of documents for children to travel with their parents or guardians

  • A valid passport for the parents/guardians and children
  • A full birth certificate (original or photocopy of original) if travelling with both parents
  • If travelling with one parent there is additional documentation , parent consent affidavit not longer than four months and a letter from parents signed by the authorities in case of a guardian

Due to the difficulty in getting some of these documents and the inconvenience it created, the South African government does not require some of these documents anymore. A passport is the only requirement left. However it is advisable to carry your children’s birth certificates with you .



It is always advisable to have travel insurance whenever travelling outside Europe and the United States. This will keep you at ease in case something happens. A travel insurance that covers medical situations during your period in South Africa will make your safari smooth sailing. However this is not compulsory, it’s just advisable.

There are no compulsory vaccines to travel to South Africa if you are coming from Europe or the United States. However you may want to get vaccines against COVID and the other day to day vaccines we take throughout our lives.
